Description
The New-Line Hobby model for karts is not a main radiator, but an additional one: that is, it is mounted together with a main radiator, but in a different position to increase the total effectiveness of the engine cooling process. In fact, the boiling water that has just come out of the engine passes through the Hobby: its task is therefore to lower the temperature of the water as much as possible before it enters the main radiator and undergoes the classic cooling process with the air impacting on the grilles, before re-entering the engine again and colder. The composition of the radiator is the same as that of a main radiator with an aluminum cap to let the water enter at the top and the two tanks, above and below. Compared to a main radiator, however, the Hobby is much thinner (12 cm wide) and is mounted on the engine side, i.e. the one to the right of the rider. In this way, there are two sides on which the air is used to cool the water in the circuit, consequently increasing the cooling efficiency on the hottest days. The Hobby, initially born as a small radiator for the single-brand and amateur categories, has subsequently become an additional radiator for the RS and Big models of the New-Line kart line. It can be used in all categories, but it is recommended for the KF1 and the KZ with gears. The radiator is also available, on request, in the chrome-plated version with hand polishing.
